1. First Came Questions and a Compulsion to Find the Answers:

I am an academic physician and experimental psychologist (PhD/MD)

Retired and turning 70

With a strong family history of Alzheimer’s disease

Getting forgetful with word-finding difficulties

NOT reassured by two eminent neurologists and their 20-minute and mildly patronizing “Normal for Age” office evaluations

I remained bad at remembering names and where I put things, and still needed to find a satisfactory answer to the question:

I could still READ and WRITE with confidence.

So,

Over the next 4 years I read about 1200 scientific articles and wrote and published a 364-page book with 535 references: “Must-have information about the challenges and solutions for our aging brains”
